An Old Man and an Angel

When I painted this for a children's book I tried to copy someone surreptitiously. For the life of me I can't remember who. A famous illustrator from England? A popular Californian blogger?...Damn!. My memory isn't what it used to be.

Well. As I. L. Diamond put it: Nobody is perfect

Por la ubicación de los personajes detrás de una tabla , yo creo que puede haberse basado en "Carozo y Narizota".

Muy lindo por cierto.

Hello Oscar, I am Chloe (Cumming)'s mother and I found this picture on her facebook page. I love it too, and when I first glimpsed it I thought it must have been painted by Chloe! And actually that is high praise..not that I'm biased or anything...I would love to see more of your work, best wishes, Sue (Cumming)

Thanks for visiting, Sue. I must say that I find Chloe's work outstanding and I am a great fan of her. Alas I drew this before she was born. It was around 1983.

I am in awe of this. For some reason, I get a Rembrandt-like feeling from this. I think your work should be hung in a gallery.

Maybe I should be hanged in a gallery, Eric!

If that's the case, then I should be hung in the alleyway outside the museum.
